Originally, these blind boy scouts were supposed to be special enemies that showed up at different levels in the game. The second game in the series was more geared towards FPS shooter fans, but still retained enough of the DNA of the original game to be a hit with fans, as players returned to the sunken city of Rapture on its last legs. The setting of the original game, being a sunken city meant for the brightest minds also helped push the story of the game into the mainstream, as its standout moments and themes about the folly of man and what it means to be in control of one’s life brought conversations between gamers after its initial release.
